I have been a member of The Divine Assembly for over a year. Their religion is based on a single “Tenet” with a singular focus on self autonomy in one’s relationship with the Divine and others and the use of entheogens for strengthening that connection to God (however, you see God). Here is their beautiful Tenet:
“We believe each individual can directly commune with self, others, and the Divine.
That’s it, TDA’s one tenet.
Since you can commune directly with the Divine, you don’t need anyone else (including TDA or any member of TDA) to tell you how to live. No one else has the manual for your life. TDA sure doesn’t have the manual. Rather than prescribe dogma, TDA strives to be a platform to help you worship autonomously and a community to support you in that quest.
We believe that our psilocybin sacrament is holy, as it can promote communion. We enjoy the sacrament sincerely and safely. The sacrament, however, is not the point of TDA. The point is to use our communion experiences to connect with self, others, and the Divine. TDA is a small—and overall insignificant—part of this grand Universe. TDA is just one node on the mycelial network. We strive to connect with many other safe and healthy nodes.”
